To celebrate its 60th year in community theater, the Santa Maria Civic Theatre (SMCT) is getting a new paint job, courtesy of a local business.

Santa Maria’s New Life Painting is donating the service as a part of its Pay it Forward program. In a statement sent to local media, Civic Theatre Board President Sally Buchanan thanked the business for the service.

ā€œWe at the Santa Maria Civic Theatre are so pleased and privileged to have been chosen by New Life Painting to be a part of their Pay it Forward community program,ā€ Buchanan said. ā€œSMCT is turning 60 and what better way to celebrate a girl’s 60th birthday than with a little nip, tuck, and lift.ā€

Painting is scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 8. The theater is located at 1660 N. McClelland St., Santa Maria. For more information on the theater, call (805) 922-4442. For more information on New Life Painting’s Pay It Forward community program, visit newlifepainting.com/community.
