Summer is a great time for live music in Santa Maria, with the annual Concerts in the Park series running from July through August. The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is holding a call for bands to perform at local parks as part of the series.
Family-friendly bands from numerous genres are encouraged to apply for the Sunday concerts. To be considered, bands must submit a CD, biography, high-resolution photo, and application to the department by March 25.
Applications must be mailed to the Recreation and Parks Department at 615 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria. Applications can be downloaded at cityofsantamaria.org. More information is available at 925-0951, Ext. 260.
