The Santa Maria Arts Council announced that it had to cancel its first Art in the Park event this year due to a lack of signups from participating local artists. The Arts Council remains committed to supporting and encouraging the expansion of the arts in the Santa Maria and wants to hear from local artists on how better to facilitate future events, according to representatives.
