The Santa Maria Arts Council has issued a call for artists for an Art in the Park event happening on June 5. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Santa Maria City Hall, will feature local artists in multiple media showing and selling their work. The event is designed to celebrate and showcase local artistic talent while welcoming the community to a fun outdoor event in Santa Maria’s downtown, according to a press release from the Arts Council.
Space for the event is limited to 24 artists’ booths, and the application deadline is May 15. The Arts Council welcomes artists showing painting, drawing, photography, 3-D art, and jewelry. Applications and more information are available at smartscouncil.org.
