The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department is now offering a Water Safety Instructor class April 15, 17, 22 , 24, and 29. Attendees who successfully complete the course will be certified to teach American Red Cross water safety beginning swim classes with potential job opportunities throughout the county.

Held at the Lompoc Aquatic Center Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the course will also have additional lab sessions. The cost of the class (including textbook) is $235. For questions or more information, call the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department at 875-8100.
