Runners of all ages are invited to take part in McKenzie Junior High’s Invitational cross-country meet at the Jack O’Connell Park in Guadalupe on Sept. 19.

Third through sixth graders will run a one-mile loop on park grass, seventh and eighth graders will run two miles, and all other entrants can run or walk the mile course.

Medals will be awarded to the top three runners in each race, and every participant will receive a ribbon.

Registration runs from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on race day. Starting times for racers begin at 9 a.m., with third and fourth grade girls going first, followed by boys and older children in increments of 15 minutes. The open race kicks off at 10:45 a.m.

Entry fees are $2 per runner or $1 for Mary Buren and McKenzie students.
