Relay for Life of Arroyo Grande is asking prospective participants in this year’s event to attend a Community Kickoff party on Feb. 23.
Attendees will take part in a birthday party and find out how to get involved in the 2010 Relay for Life, held June 26 and 27 at St. Patrick’s School. The 24-hour run/walk benefits the American Cancer Society, and local organizers are looking for team captains. Those bringing new captains to the kickoff party will receive a prize.
The event takes place at 6 p.m. at the Ramona Garden Park Center, 993 Ramona Ave. in Grover Beach.
