Just two weeks after earning an associate degree, former Allan Hancock College baseball player Quinntin Perez signed a letter of intent to continue his college career at the University of South Carolina.

Perez chose South Carolina, which has one of the best Division I baseball programs in the nation, over offers from multiple other schools, according to Hancock Public Affairs Director Andrew Masuda.

This spring, Perez led his team with 35 runs and finished his Hancock career with a total .377 batting average, 16 doubles, three home runs, 39 runners batted in, 50 runs scored, 75 hits, and 16 stolen bases.

The St. Joseph High School alum will continue his academic and athletic career at the University of South Carolina this fall.
