The C Gallery has put out a call for submissions for its fall group show, “One Foot at a Time.” Submitted works should be 12-by-12 inches, including the frame, in any media. Submissions are due at the gallery by Nov. 12 for a Nov. 19 opening.

The title of the exhibit refers to the size of the work asked for, and there’s a subtext as well. “One foot at a time,” as an expression, conjures ideas of patience, planning, thoughtful consideration, and waiting. Gallery Director Connie Rohde hopes artists can incorporate that theme into their pieces. Rohde said waiting as a concept offers a wide array of possibilities: traffic jams, longing for a season change, pregnancy, growing older, and the like.

The work will be for sale, and on exhibit at the C Gallery through Jan. 11. Entry forms
are available online at thecgallery.com/events.html.
