Central Coast residents can experience the thrill of polo in person at the inaugural Santa Ynez Valley Polo Classic on July 21.

The event starts with a Junior Polo Team exhibition, followed by a match featuring several of the highest rated players in the world. It benefits People Helping People, a nonprofit organization celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Adult tickets cost $10, and children younger than 12 get in for $5. VIP admission is $250, and includes tented seating at a table of 10, a champagne/Pimms Cup reception, a luncheon, priority parking, goodie bag, and a dessert reception. All guests are invited to dress up in their Sunday best.

The festivities take place at the Circle JB Polo Ranch, located at 560 McMurray Road in Buellton.
