Roger DeLaurier, the director of this upcoming iteration of Into the Woods, described the musical as a “fascinating, funny, and heartfelt piece of theatre,” in press materials from PCPA.

“The density of ideas, lyrics, music, and plot make Into the Woods a wonderful challenge for us as a company and for our audiences,” DeLaurier said in a statement.

The cast of Into the Woods includes Kitty Balay, Christen Celaya, Jennie Greenberry, Eduardo Enrikez, Emily Trask, Erik Stein, and George Walker. The show is choreographed by Jay Brenneman and features sets designed by Jason Bolen and costumes by Sara Curran Ice. A special talkback event, featuring a post-show Q-and-A with the cast and crew, is scheduled to be held after the May 13 performance.

Tickets to Into the Woods range between $33.50 and $50. Later this summer, the production will be reprised at the Solvang Festival Theater Thursday, Aug. 11, through Sunday, Sept. 4. For more info on both the spring and summer runs of the show, visit pcpa.org.
