Described as a celebration of sharing experiences through story and song, Together: A Musical Journey is helmed by director Katie Fuchs-Wackowski, with musical direction by Michael Wilkins, from an original script by Erik Stein, who also performs in the show. The production’s cast includes PCPA resident artists Kitty Balay, Andrew Philpot, Yusef Seevers, Emily Trask, and George Walker and guest artist Annali Fuchs-Wackowski.

In a press release from PCPA, Stein credited an article he read for inspiring the show’s themes.

ā€œI read an article that outlined an experiment that showed when people are in a room together sharing an experience, their hearts start to beat in the same rhythm,ā€ Stein said in the release. ā€œIf our hearts can overcome differences and actually beat together, our brains should be able to as well. All of us in a room together sharing an experience is truly essential.ā€

As the show’s premiere becomes closer, admission protocols will be posted on PCPA’s website, and updated according to the latest COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. Currently, attendees will not be required to wear masks during performances of the show.

General admission to the show starts at $35. For additional info, call the PCPA box office at (805) 922-8313. Performances of Together: A Musical Journey are scheduled to run through Saturday, Aug. 7. The Solvang Festival Theater is located at 420 2nd St., Solvang.
