A new $31,200 grant from the Santa Barbara Foundation and PCPA Foundation is ensuring that students from low-income households aren’t barred from the arts. The grant will allow schools to apply for fully subsidized special PCPA Education and Outreach touring performances, which bring live theater to the school. Made possible through the Santa Barbara Foundation’s collaboration with the Orfalea Foundation and the Cavalletto Charities, the grant can potentially underwrite 80 performances.
The grant applies to the two current touring shows, Luis and the Great Field Trip Adventure and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, which are touring through May, as well as the touring production for next fall.
The application is online at pcpa.org/specialoutreach.
