PCPA The Pacific Conservatory Theatre presents its Education and Outreach Tour production of the bilingual play The Song of the Oak/El Canto Del Roble beginning in October and running through May of 2016. The musical play is available to schools in Santa Barbara and SLO counties and is appropriate for students in grades K through eight.

PCPA acting interns will bring to life the tale of Gustavo, a grumpy young boy who hates doing yard work, insults a magical oak tree, and plunges the world into a deep freeze. A menagerie of characters, including snakes, squirrels, birds, the sun, the wind, and a bear, accompany Gustavo on his adventure. The production is adaptable to multipurpose rooms, libraries, or auditoriums, and ends with a discussion with the actors.

PCPA welcomes local schools to fill out an Outreach Order Form at pcpa.org or 928-7731, Ext. 3156.
