Junior lifeguard classes for youth ages 9 to 14 years old will be held at the Paul Nelson and Pioneer Valley High School pools beginning in late June.

Participants will learn rescue and stroke techniques, fitness skills, and teamwork. They must possess a Level 6 American Red Cross swim card or be able to swim 100 yards consistently.

Boys and girls aged 8 to 14 years old who’ve passed Level 4 swim class are invited to sign up for Youth Water Polo. Participants will learn basic knowledge of the sport and skills such as conditioning, treading water, and mobility. There is also a class for adults of all skill and interest levels looking to stay in shape.
