The Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library is once again sponsoring a painted chair raffle at Santa Maria Town Center mall through April 13.
The raffle features local artists donating artwork, including chairs, desks, tables, and quilts in the theme of a book, author, or character. The event is open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 13, and ticket holders don’t need to be present to win.
Tickets for a chance to win an item are still only $1, or six tickets for $5. All children will also receive a free book to take home with them. The artwork is located on the second level of the Santa Maria Town Center.
Running concurrently with the raffle is a special wine auction featuring Black by Black wine, a rare limited edition Bordeaux blend. Proceeds from the wine auction will also help the Friends of the Santa Maria Library raise funds for the library. Visitors are invited to browse and bid to benefit the library.
