Performances of Orcutt Community Theater’s War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast, based on Orson Welles’ iconic 1938 radio broadcast of H.G. Wells’ sci-fi novel, will run through Oct. 31 at Klein Dance Arts Studio in Santa Maria. An ensemble of actors will re-create the classic alien invasion broadcast, accompanied by live sound effects and period music, during this new production—which premiered on Oct. 15. 

Tickets to War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast, directed by Orcutt Community Theater co-founder Dixie Arthur, are $15 and are available at the door or in advance at my805tix.com. Performances of the show take place every Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and every Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
