The Orcutt National Little League, for children ages 4 to 12, is holding regular registration until Jan. 7. Registrations will be held Jan. 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rabobank-Oak Knolls Branch at 1110 E. Clark Ave in Orcutt. The final regular registration date is Jan. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Orcutt Junior High School. Late registration will take place on Jan. 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Rabobank. This year’s signup cost is $120 for the first player from a family, $110 for the second player, and $100 for the third. Late registration is $130 per player. • Winter Break Camp: The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department’s Winter Camp for children aged 6 to 12 will be held at the Minami Community Center, 600 W. Enos Dr., through Jan. 13. • Lompoc Girls Softball Association: This softball league is for girls ages 5 to 16. The fee is $90 and includes a jersey, pictures, and $20 worth of raffle tickets. There’s a $5 discount for siblings. Players must be 5 years old by May 1 and younger than 17 prior to Jan. 1. Proof of age is required. Regular registration takes place at Thompson Park, 1101 W. • Adult Volleyball League:Volleyball players have until Jan. 12 to sign up for the city of Santa Maria’s six-on-six adult volleyball league, which begins play on Jan. 29. Games will be held at various city gyms over 10 weeks. Men’s and women’s divisions play on Sundays; co-ed divisions play on Wednesdays. Fees are $152 for resident teams—which must include at least seven city residents to qualify—and $190 for non-resident teams. Teams are also responsible for $10 for officiating per game. • Adult Basketball League: The city of Santa Maria’s five-on-five adult recreational basketball league is taking registrations until Jan. 12. League play begins on Jan. 27, with men’s and co-ed divisions offered. Players must be able to suit up Monday through Friday for the 10-week season. Fees are $252 for city resident teams and $315 for non-resident teams. Teams must have a minimum of seven residents to qualify for the discount. Each team will be responsible for $20 per game for officiating. There will also be a mandatory managers’ meeting on Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Minami Community Center, 600 W. Enos Drive. • Adult Softball League: Santa Maria’s Recreation and Parks Department will be taking registrations for its Adult Softball program until Jan. 26. Leagues include men’s, co-ed, and men’s 40 years and up. Play begins Feb. 10, and all games will be held at the Hagerman Sports Complex, 3300 Skyway Dr. Fees are $394 for resident teams and $492 for non-residents. Teams must have at least 10 city residents to qualify as a resident team. Teams will also be responsible for an umpire fee of $10 per contest. • Big Picture Athletics Winter Football: Big Picture Athletics will be holding an eight-week competitive seven-on-seven winter passing league for seventh- and eighth-grade teams from Jan. 22 to March 18. The focus of the league will be on exposure, player development, competition, and improved knowledge of the game. A maximum of 12 teams will be admitted, with 12 to 14 players per team.
