• Lou Benetti Memorial Golf Tournament: Members of the public will be able to team up with blind golfers for charity at the 12th annual Lou Benetti Memorial Golf Tournament, held at the Village Country Club in Vandenberg Village on Sept. 17. Following the tournament will be the 12th annual California Blind Golf Classic on Sept. 18 and 19, a 36-hole competition for visually impaired golfers. • Santa Barbara County Golf Championship: Entries are currently being accepted for the 36-hole championship tournament, to be held at the La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc Oct. 22 to 23. The tournament is open to amateur golfers 18 and older. The cost is $150 and includes green fees, a prize fund, and a barbecue. Carts will be optional and cost $10 each day. • Memorial Boxing Event: A boxing show in Santa Maria for law enforcement officers, firefighters, and public safety volunteers is Oct. 22.
