• Joe White Memorial Auction: Rare and one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia will be up for bid at Allan Hancock College’s 10th annual Joe White Memorial Dinner and Auction on Aug. 20. Items include a basketball signed by the 2011 Los Angeles Lakers, a vacation to Newport Beach, private lessons with former major-league pitcher Bryn Smith, and gourmet dinners. • St. Vincent’s Golf Tournament: The 10th annual Golf Classic fundraiser for the Santa Barbara County nonprofit organization will be held on Aug. 22 at the La Cumbre Country Club in Santa Barbara. • West Coast Xtreme Fall Basketball League: Youth Basketball Academy’s fall

• Youth Rugby League Registration: Children ages 10 through 18 are invited to try out for the Santa Maria Sharks, the first youth rugby league in Santa Barbara County.
