The Santa Ynez Valley Hotel Association announced that it’s streamlined its grant application process for 2012. The association will accept Community Grant Award applications from Santa Ynez Valley nonprofit organizations throughout the year and make awards five times per year for events that can attract overnight visitors mid-week.
Grant amounts are in the $1,000 to $5,000 range. During 2011, the first year of SYVHA Community Grants, a total of $74,600 was awarded to more than a dozen Santa Ynez Valley nonprofits.
For applications, call 325-3528 or visit SYVHA.com. Deadline dates for 2012 award applications are April 15, July 15, Sept. 15, and Nov. 15, with awards made during the following month’s SYVHA board meeting.
