Nipomo shortstop and pitcher Ryan McNeil, who helped lead Nipomo High School to a share of the Los Padres League title last season, has been invited to play in the 2011 Perfect Game All-American Classic on Aug. 14.
The game, which pits top college prospects from around the country against each other in an East vs. West battle, will take place at 5 p.m. at PETCO Park in San Diego and will be televised live by CBS Sports. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
McNeil, who finished his junior year at
Nipomo High with an ERA of 1.40, has committed to Cal State Long Beach.
