The Nipomo Arts Commission and the Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos are inviting artists to submit artwork for a juried exhibition, “El Camino Real—Highway Through History.” The exhibition is part of the second annual “Arts at the Adobe” event, set for June 5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rancho Nipomo Dana Adobe. All winning entries will be exhibited at public locations following the event. Prize ribbons will be awarded by category. Artist Marti Fast is the juror, while the public will participate by selecting a “People’s Choice” award. Artists have an opportunity to rent booth space to sell their artwork.
Participating artists will need to bring work to be juried on May 28 to the Blacklake Community Room, 498 Colonial Pl., Nipomo. A single submission fee is $10 fee; there’s a $5 fee for each additional submission to be juried.
All submitted works must follow the “El Camino Real—Highway Through History” theme, which celebrates the historical development of Rancho Nipomo, as well as historical El Camino Real between Mission San Luis Obispo and Mission Santa Ines.
