The Nipomo Arts Commission will be holding its second annual Art at the Adobe event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 12 at the Dana Adobe, 671 S. Oakglen Avenue in Nipomo.

Local artists are invited to submit their work to compete in a juried art display. Entries can be submitted for $10, and subsequent works for $5. Entries will be judged and awarded prize ribbons by category. Audience members will be able to vote for a People’s Choice Award. All artwork is based on the theme ā€œEl Camino Real—Highway Through History.ā€ In addition to the art exhibition, there will be an art sale featuring local artists from the Central Coast.

An event for the whole family, Art at the Adobe will also feature an arts and crafts corner for children, fine wine and refreshments for sale, a Raku pottery demonstration, and live music performed by Bubba Ramey, Penny Watson Crum, and Mark Massey.

Art at the Adobe will move to the Betteravia Government Center Gallery in Santa Maria from June 13 through Sept. 9, sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission.
