The Neal Taylor Nature Center at Cachuma Lake will be holding a workshop on June 2 to teach adults basic fishing skills.

Local fishing experts will run the workshop from 8:45 a.m. to noon. The registration fee is $10 and limited to the first 30 adults.

The Nature Center will also welcome guest speaker Joan Lentz for the second lecture in its ā€œFood for Thoughtā€ 2012 series on June 10. Lentz is a well-known local birder, lecturer, teacher, author, and naturalist who will discuss topics from her most recent book, ā€œA Naturalist’s Guide to the Santa Barbara Region.ā€ The talk will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Cachuma Lake Recreation Hall, and is free with the $10 cost of park admission.
