The Lompoc Music Association will hold its annual auditions for music scholarships on April 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Valley of the Flowers United Church of Christ, 3346 Constellation Road, in Vandenberg Village.
Vocal and instrumental students who live within the boundaries of the Lompoc Unified School District, who are at least 14 years old and not older than 19 years old on the date of the audition, may apply. Previous first-place winners of LMA scholarships aren’t eligible.
Music selected for auditions must be serious and composed for the student’s voice or instrument. Students must provide their own accompanists or call Ruth Lee at 736-8702.
Applications are available in the music departments of Lompoc and Cabrillo high schools and in the counseling offices.
