KCOY CBS 12 announced that a familiar face to local sports fans, Mitch Massey, is joining Dave Alley on his high-school football show, The Friday Night Blitz.
Massey spent 12 years as the sports director at KSBY before leaving for Spokane, Wash. He later made stops in Seattle, San Francisco, and ESPN. For the last two years, Massey hosted Friday Night Highlights on KSBY.
“I’m thrilled with the opportunity to work with Dave Alley,” Massey said in a press release. “His hard work and dedication in giving the viewers what they want to see is a big reason I’m excited to play a role in making Friday Night Blitz the leader in all Friday night football shows on the Central Coast.”
Massey is the senior vice president of marketing for Heritage Oaks Bank, which will sponsor his “Game of the Week” feature. The show airs every Friday night at 11 p.m. on CBS 12.
