Michaels Art and Crafts in Santa Maria offers a free DIY Day: Crafty Tie-Dye T-Shirt event on June 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. A Father’s Day Wood Frame event is June 14 from 10 a.m. to noon, running in 30-minute sessions with a $2 materials fee.

A science and crafting program includes two-hour sessions for $2 each, with the first week titled The Field Museum. Classes include Fossil Impressions, Magic Fossil Art, and Layers of the Earth on June 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Dinosaur Skeleton and Design-a-Dinosaur is June 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
