Actor, singer, and dancer Gale McNeeley will entertain at Unity Chapel of Light, 1165 Stubblefield Road in Santa Maria, on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in a program of songs from Broadway and movie musicals. He’ll be accompanied on piano by Betty “Sister Betty” Faas.
The show will include songs from Les Miserables, Barnum, Finian’s Rainbow, Working, The Wizard of Oz, and Tom Foolery by the great Tom Lehrer. The show will be capped off by Wayne & Shuster’s “Shakespearean Baseball Game.”
McNeeley appeared on Broadway in Two Gentlemen of Verona with Jerry Stiller and Raul Julia, and Cyrano with Christopher Plummer.
He’s been seen locally at PCPA Theaterfest as the Ghost in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Herbie in Gypsy, and Billy Bishop in Billy Bishop Goes to War.
He’s also appeared locally with Faas in his original political
satire, Pope: The Musical, as well as Fred & Ginger, Tom Lehrer, Wayne and Schuster, Over the Rainbow, and his one-man show Archy and Mehitabel.
This show is a benefit for Pathways to Spirit. The cost is $10.
