When it comes to running, Orcutt Academy High School senior Mackenzie Webb goes the distance.Â
Webb’s natural athletic ability and competitive personality have led her to great achievements throughout her fruitful cross country career, according to head coach Frank Mata. She often leads the pack at meets, and Mata said she holds nearly every school record that exists for long distance running.Â
“She’s disciplined and committed to her sport,” Mata said. “Mackenzie has proven to be a leader and encourages her fellow runners to be the best they can be.”Â
Though this is her last year at Orcutt Academy, Webb hopes to continue running competitively in college, Mata said.Â
