The Los Padres Artist Guild (LPAG) celebrates the season with the 39th annual The Colors of Christmas show and sale event on Nov. 6, 7, and 8, featuring a wide range of art created by guild members. Fine artwork includes paintings, silk paintings, jewelry, photography, collage, ceramic, and even stained glass; and handcrafted items include purses, quilts, baby hats, blankets, slippers, pillows, and knitted items.

ā€œThere are many holiday craft shows in the Santa Maria Valley,ā€ said the show’s chairperson, Lori Traylor, in a statement prepared by LPAG, ā€œbut ours is a unique combination art gallery and hand-crafted sale.ā€

Proceeds from several raffle drawings and a portion of the sales go toward art student scholarships. The show is open from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Lakeview Junior High School, 3700 Orcutt Road, Orcutt.
