The Los Padres Artist Guild (LPAG) celebrates the season with the 39th annual The Colors of Christmas show and sale event on Nov. 6, 7, and 8, featuring a wide range of art created by guild members. Fine artwork includes paintings, silk paintings, jewelry, photography, collage, ceramic, and even stained glass; and handcrafted items include purses, quilts, baby hats, blankets, slippers, pillows, and knitted items.
āThere are many holiday craft shows in the Santa Maria Valley,ā said the showās chairperson, Lori Traylor, in a statement prepared by LPAG, ābut ours is a unique combination art gallery and hand-crafted sale.ā
Proceeds from several raffle drawings and a portion of the sales go toward art student scholarships. The show is open from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Lakeview Junior High School, 3700 Orcutt Road, Orcutt.
