Representatives from the Los Alamos Valley Men’s Club (LAVMC) presented a $5,000 check to People Helping People, according to a press release. The donation was designated to provide Christmas gifts and food for needy Los Alamos families during the holiday season.

“We are grateful to be able to make this donation now so that Los Alamos families can have staples, toiletries, and gifts to make this season a bit brighter,” said LAVMC Vice President Carole Bloom in the press release. “We know People Helping People works year-round to aid struggling families. We want to help support them support others, especially this month.”

People Helping People is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of residents in Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, and the surrounding community with comprehensive integrated family and individual support services. The nonprofit Los Alamos Valley Men’s Club was founded in 1946. More information is available at losalamosvalley.org or 344-1144.
