The Lompoc Valley Arts Council holds its quarterly meeting, which always includes a talk by an artist, on April 21. The council’s board meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a social break at 6:45 p.m., followed by a talk by author Michael Sewall.

Sewall will present the talk Getting Your Words Into Print, which touches on the writing process, self-publishing, and his business Sewall Publishing. Information about Sewall’s books and business philosophy is available at mjsewall.com.

The Lompoc Valley Arts Council’s meetings take place at Stone Pine Hall, 210 South H St., Lompoc.
