Embarking on its 14th season of live performances, the Lompoc Pops Orchestra will entertain its patrons with a musical bouquet on Sept. 27 at the Lompoc First United Methodist Church.

This season’s theme is The Pops Blooms for Lompoc! The program includes ā€œThe Rose,ā€ ā€œTheme from The Apartment,ā€ several LeRoy Anderson favorites, and ā€œLes Toreadorsā€ (from Carmen). The Pops String Ensemble and flute soloist Alice McGonigal will perform ā€œThe Wind Beneath My Wings.ā€ Soloist Holly Williams has chosen ā€œIn The Still of the Night,ā€ ā€œAmapola,ā€ and ā€œThose Were The Days.ā€

Artist Rosalea Greenwood will donate her watercolor painting to a patron at the evening’s end.

The concert will be held Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church at 925 North F St. in downtown Lompoc. Tickets cost $15 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger; and $5 for students. For more information, call Val at 735-6463.
