Embarking on its 14th season of live performances, the Lompoc Pops Orchestra will entertain its patrons with a musical bouquet on Sept. 27 at the Lompoc First United Methodist Church.
This season’s theme is The Pops Blooms for Lompoc! The program includes “The Rose,” “Theme from The Apartment,” several LeRoy Anderson favorites, and “Les Toreadors” (from Carmen). The Pops String Ensemble and flute soloist Alice McGonigal will perform “The Wind Beneath My Wings.” Soloist Holly Williams has chosen “In The Still of the Night,” “Amapola,” and “Those Were The Days.”
Artist Rosalea Greenwood will donate her watercolor painting to a patron at the evening’s end.
The concert will be held Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church at 925 North F St. in downtown Lompoc. Tickets cost $15 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger; and $5 for students. For more information, call Val at 735-6463.
