The Lompoc Museum is currently offering the exhibit Eric Morlan, Selected Work: 1980-2014 in its Centeno Gallery June 8 through Sept. 1. Morlan is a local sculptor who began showing his ceramics almost 30 years ago, but branched out to other media throughout his career ever since. An opening reception with the artist is June 8 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Morlan credits three instructors from Allan Hancock College—Nat Fast, George Muro, and Bill Shinn—with helping him develop his skill and style. He also gained support for his work from John St. John, who showed Morlan’s sculpture at his gallery in Solvang. The artist’s work include ceramics, clay, and welded aluminum, which he uses to convey the abstract.

The Lompoc Museum is located at 200 South H St., Lompoc. More information is available at 736-3888 or
