The Lompoc Public Library debuted a new local authors collection for children and adults. The collection features both fiction and nonfiction works, all written and illustrated by Central Coast authors and illustrators who donated their works to the library. Local Authors will be a permanent collection of the Lompoc Public Library.
Lompoc Library Director Sarah Bleyl said in a press release that writing is an important part of literacy, and the library is proud to feature the works of local writers.
“The Central Coast is home to countless talented authors, and we are honored to support these writers by featuring their works alongside the great literary classics,” Bleyl said. “We encourage community members to come in and take a look at our [Local] Authors collection. It is our hope they will enjoy these books as much as we do.”
The Lompoc Library welcomes the submission of additional works to the Local Authors collection. For more information, contact the library at (805) 875-8775.
