The monthly Lompoc Art Walk is planned for Jan. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. It’s hosted by the Lonely Plover Social Club, an organization that supports local businesses and artists.

“Our mission is simple but impactful: to celebrate and elevate Lompoc’s vibrant arts community,” according to the organization’s website.

Residents, businesses, and artists come together for the Art Walk every month to celebrate the city’s creativity. Downtown Lompoc transforms into an outdoor gallery featuring performances, artwork displays, live music, and interactive activities. The Lompoc Art Walk increases foot traffic in town and allows people to meet the artists and business owners who are active in the community.

Organizers suggest starting off at the Cypress Gallery (119 E. Cypress Ave.) to see the featured exhibit, make crafts, and grab some produce at the Route One Farmers Market truck. From there, people can visit participating stores, including Silly Bee Thrift, Eye on I, The Wicked Shamrock, Jupiter’s Spark Collection, Southside Coffee, Bella Florist, and Fortified Tattoo.

Artists are encouraged to contact participating businesses if interested in setting up exhibits. Email thelonelyplover@gmail.com with inquiries or visit thelonelyploversocialclub.com.

Art Walks are planned for Feb. 5 and then the first Thursday of each month. Check out @thelonelyploversocialclub on Instagram for more details.
