Rep. Lois Capps announced that she is seeking entries for the 2015 annual Congressional Art Competition, open to all high school students in the 24th Congressional District. The winning work will hang in the U.S. Capitol for a year and compete with pieces from across the nation.

ā€œThis annual art competition is a wonderful opportunity to support young artists across the nation,ā€ Capps said in a statement. ā€œI am always impressed by the artistic talent of our students on the Central Coast, and I encourage all high school students in the California’s 24th District to enter the competition for a chance to showcase their artwork in our nation’s capitol.ā€

Completed work must be submitted to one of Capps’ local offices no later than April 24 at 5 p.m. Original art pieces must be two-dimensional and no larger than 28 inches square and no more than 4 inches in depth. More information is available at capps.house.gov/serving-you/art-competition.
