A team of local dancers was headed to Los Angeles after being asked to audition for a CBS television show called Live to Dance, hosted by Paula Abdul. Dellos Performing Arts Center in Arroyo Grande was asked to submit videos of its competitive dance teams for consideration, so it sent videos of its Senior Hip Hop and Junior Tap teams—both national championship winners. Both teams were asked to audition in person.
Dellos Performing Arts Center team members range in age from 9 to 19 and have logged extra long hours in preparation for the audition. They’ve also performed at local elementary schools to get in more stage time.
