The Purple Marble is Pacific Conservatory Theatre’s (PCPA) upcoming Education and Outreach touring production for early 2018. The musical—available for a limited engagement—is based on local teen author Alyssa B. Antoci’s book (written when she was 8 years old) and features a story about facing bullies and starting over.

The story revolves around Max, a boy who dreams of becoming a master chef. He plans to share his Fun and Fancy Pizza Cookbook with his fourth grade class, but his plans take an unexpected turn when he becomes a target of the class bully. As a result of the torment and ridicule, Max’s first weeks of school are filled with fear, and his relationships with family and friends are damaged. However, when he finds a unique and beautiful purple marble, his luck begins to change. Ultimately Max is left with a tough choice between keeping his lucky streak going, or overcoming his bully in a most surprising way.
