With one game to go—or none at all for some teams—the football season is almost over. Leading the PAC-7 with one week left as of press time was Paso Robles with an 8-1 record. Atascadero, Righetti, San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, and Lompoc high schools followed Paso in the rankings.
The Warriors have one game between them and the playoffs—a league match up against Arroyo Grande on Nov. 14. Righetti High School has been helped this season by a few key players, including two who’ve made it into the league rankings. Junior quarterback T. J. Jordan is third in the league in passing yards with 1,106, and Righetti senior Jason Davis is third in the league in rushing with 1,078 yards. Davis is also third in the league in scoring with 72 points.
In the Los Padres League, local teams entered their last week in this order: St. Joseph, Pioneer Valley, Morro Bay, Templeton, Cabrillo, Nipomo, Santa Ynez, and Santa Maria high schools.
St. Joseph High School players hold the lead in passing yards (senior Gavin Kelly with 1,121), rushing yards (senior Ryan Anglin with 1,070), and receiving yards (senior Travis Biegel with 366). It’s Pioneer Valley High School junior Dan Ando, though, who leads the league in scoring with 120 points. The regular season ends Nov. 14.
