There’s more than just reading going on at the Santa Maria Public Library. Catch a free flick at 6 p.m. on June 3, when the library presents a swashbuckling pirate movie. Then, at 6:30 p.m. on June 16, a father-themed film will be shown to usher in Father’s Day.

Enjoy an evening of acoustic guitar with Laurie Jennings and Dana Keller, “Fusion Folk Americana,” at 7 p.m. on June 10 in Shepard Hall. Based out of Miami, Fla., the duo presents a blend of sounds from their vast and wide-ranging musical backgrounds. This event is open to adults and students age 14 and older.

Throughout June, Manuel Perez Salazar’s work, which reveals his interest in the experiential and symbolic content of materials and subjects associated with his personal and family history, will be on display.
