Gambling with Murder, the fifth book in an ongoing mystery series by local author Lida Sideris, was recently published by Level Best Books and is available for purchase at the Book Loft in Solvang and Barnes and Noble in San Luis Obispo. The protagonist of the series is Corrie Locke, a rookie lawyer and private investigator based in Southern California.
In press materials, Sideris summed up her mystery series as “light reading centered around action-packed mysteries.”
The plot of Gambling with Murder focuses on the disappearance of a retired ambassador, Dom Rosetti, who lives in Santa Barbara. Locke sets out to find Rosetti, as her day job as an entertainment attorney “takes a back seat to investigating homicides and missing persons,” according to press materials.
