Santa Maria High School senior basketball players will be looking for revenge when they take on the Santa Maria Police Department in the 11th annual ā€œKids vs. Kopsā€ game on May 7.

The high schoolers will be led by All-Los Padres League Honorable Mention Kevin Lindgren and graduating players from the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Last year, the SMPD scored their first-ever victory in the series. The police prevailed by a score of 85-80, led by officers Chris Nartatez and Sylvester Swain.

This year’s contest will be held in Santa Maria High’s Wilson Gym at 7 p.m. General admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
