The Ian M. Hassett Foundation began its first excursion of The Artist Exchange on March 21 at Ernest Righetti High School. A 1969 travel trailer filled with donated art supplies was available to Righetti students and other artists in need of free supplies. The Foundation was formed in the name of Ian M. Hassett, a Righetti student, artist, and musician who died from a rare form of cancer in 2012 at the age of 19.

The Artist Exchange welcomes donations from artists, art supply companies, or organizations that would like to share Hassett’s love for art with others. The program is available to campuses along the Central Coast and local artists in need of supplies.

Those interested in donating or in need of supplies can contact the Ian M. Hassett Foundation at 878-1334 or info@ianhmhassett.com.
