The Ian M Hassett Foundation’s annual fundraiser, titled Form Over Function, will honor Becky and Dave Corey of CORE Winery (pictured below).
The Coreys have used their winery in Orcutt to host numerous arts and cultural events, including poetry nights, art classes, musician showcases, and art shows. Becky Corey is a representative for the 4th District on the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission. The event features a no host bar, live entertainment, and live and silent auctions
More than $13,000 in grants have been given out by the Hassett Foundation since it was founded in 2013. The foundation funds activities and programs such as The Artist Exchange, which gives art supplies to high schools and colleges, Unseen No More, an art show for undiscovered artists, and free monthly art classes at Vocational Training Center (VTC).
The sixth annual fundraiser will take place on Oct. 13 at the Garden Mediterranean Restaurant from 5 to 9 p.m., located at 122 E. Boone St., Santa Maria. Tickets are $50. To purchase tickets or for more information visit ianmhassett/fundraiser-info.com.
