For the ninth straight year, Allan Hancock College will be showing its appreciation for the military during a patriotic salute to the U.S. Armed Forces at the Bulldogs’ next home football game on Oct. 29.
The first 200 military members, veterans, and their families to pick up advance tickets for the game against the Ventura College Pirates will be admitted for free and served a tri-tip barbecue at no charge. A special halftime presentation will honor all local active-duty military and veterans as well.
The game kicks off at 6 p.m. at Righetti High School. Tickets are $7 for the general public, $5 for senior citizens, and $2 for children younger than 5.
The complimentary tickets can be picked up at the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce, located at 614 S. Broadway, or through the Public Affairs office at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
