Allan Hancock College will host Military Appreciation Night at its home football game on Oct. 11.

The Bulldogs take on Long Beach City College at the Ernest Righetti High School stadium, and it will be the 11th consecutive year Hancock has paid tribute to the military.

The first 200 military personnel, veterans, and their families to get advanced tickets will be admitted at no charge and will be given a free tri-tip dinner. Active duty members will be honored during the coin toss and halftime presentation. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.

Big Daddy’s Oak Pit BBQ, Coast Hills Credit Union, and the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce came together with Hancock to put on the event.
