A recent press release from Allan Hancock College athletics revealed that two more Bulldog baseball players have been drafted to Major League Baseball.

The Atlanta Braves drafted two pitchers from Hancock: Chuck Buchanan and Jordan Sechler, in the 18th and 19th rounds, respectively. According to Hancock, these two will go on to join other former Bulldogs turned pro, including River Stevens, Brandon Creath, Mickey Jannis, Jeff Farnham, and Jimmy Van Ostrand.

ā€œWe’re proud to have seven former Bulldogs in professional baseball,ā€ Hancock head coach Chris Stevens said in the press release. ā€œThey’re all exemplary players, and we’re extremely proud of their accomplishments.ā€

Hancock has proudly been a route to professional baseball for 39 players since 1969. An additional 230 players have transferred from the local community college to play at four-year universities.
