Local artist and teacher Nadya Brown is the juror for the Artists Guild of Santa Ynez Valley’s December juried show at Gallery Los Olivos. Ingathering will take place on Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to noon. All submissions must be properly framed and prepared for hanging.
Brown has been an Allan Hancock College member since 1998. She studied art in England at Brighton Polytechnic and University of London, and received an MFA from Ohio University. Brown taught painting and printmaking on the East Coast and in the Midwest before coming to California.
Her professional experience includes book illustration, bookmaking, beginning cinematography, bronze casting, and color photography. Brown has shown her artwork across the United States in solo and group shows.
Gallery Los Olivos is located at 2920 Grand Ave. in Los Olivos. It’s open daily. The show, set to go up on Dec. 2, will hang through the end of December. For more information, call 688-7517.
